OGRA Cuts RLNG Prices for December, Offering Relief to Consumers

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in the prices of Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for December 2025.

The revised prices will be effective from December 1, 2025, and are expected to provide some relief to RLNG consumers across the country.

According to OGRA, the RLNG transmission price for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has been fixed at US$10.9186 per MMBtu, while the distribution price has been set at US$11.8280 per MMBtu.

This represents a decrease of US$0.5119, or 4.48 percent, in the transmission price and US$0.5716, or 4.61 percent, in the distribution price compared to November 2025.

For Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL), OGRA has reduced the RLNG transmission price to US$9.4741 per MMBtu and the distribution price to US$10.7767 per MMBtu.

These figures show a decline of US$0.5911, or 5.87 percent, in transmission charges and US$0.6753, or 5.90 percent, in distribution charges from the previous month.

OGRA stated that the price reduction has been made in line with the federal government’s policy guidelines. The authority explained that the main reason for the decrease is a drop in the Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) price of LNG.

Energy sector experts believe that the lower RLNG prices could help reduce costs for industries and commercial users during December.

The revision may also ease some financial pressure on consumers who rely on RLNG for power generation and other energy needs.
