ZTP Takes Control of First IBL Modaraba After Major Stake Acquisition

ZTP (Private) Limited has taken management control of First IBL Modaraba after acquiring a significant share in the company. The development was officially shared through notices submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

According to the announcement, ZTP (Private) Limited purchased 7.95 million Modaraba certificates, which represent around 36.67% of the company’s total paid-up capital.

This large stake has allowed ZTP to take control of both First IBL Modaraba and its management company, IBL Modaraba Management (Private) Limited.

The company had earlier informed the exchange in February 2026 about a possible change in control. The latest update confirms that the process has now been completed.

In a separate disclosure, IBMU Builders Limited also acquired a stake in First IBL Modaraba. It purchased over 3 million certificates, which equals approximately 14.16% of the company’s total capital.

Both transactions were carried out in line with the requirements of the Securities Act, 2015. The disclosures confirm that these acquisitions have resulted in substantial shareholding changes within the company.

Market observers believe that this shift in ownership may lead to new strategies and management decisions in the future.

Changes in control often bring fresh direction, which can impact the company’s operations and performance.
