Yango’s Red Wave Takes Over Pakistan as Express Deliveries Transform City Life

A new player is quietly reshaping Pakistan’s delivery scene and its presence is becoming hard to miss. Red-helmeted riders from Yango, a global tech company, are now seen speeding through Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, delivering everything from clothes to important documents. In just a short time, Yango has become a strong competitor in the express delivery market.

Leading this fast growth is Mohammad Ahsan Akbar, Yango Delivery’s Regional Head for South Asia. Ahsan, who previously helped Foodpanda expand into non-food deliveries, joined Yango in 2024 with a mission to build a complete logistics system for Pakistan.

Under his leadership, Yango rapidly gained traction by offering delivery in under an hour and keeping prices lower than many rivals.

Yango entered Pakistan first as a ride-hailing service, taking advantage of a market left open after Uber’s exit and Careem’s challenges.

Using its global experience, Yango introduced a “super app” model—combining ride-hailing, parcel delivery, groceries, and even cargo services. This approach helped the company scale quickly while keeping services affordable.

One of Yango’s strongest features is free parcel insurance, something no major competitor offers. The company also focuses on strong routing technology, real-time tracking, and multiple vehicle options, making it easier for both customers and drivers.

Although Pakistan’s economy and fuel prices remain difficult, Yango continues to grow by improving its platform and adjusting to local needs. With more people using multiple Yango services, the company aims to unify the country’s scattered delivery market.

For now, the red bikes keep multiplying turning fast delivery into a normal part of life in Pakistan’s biggest cities.
