Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to support Saudi Arabia whenever necessary, according to a statement from the spokesperson of Shehbaz Sharif.
In an interview, government representative Mosharraf Zaidi said that Pakistan would stand by Saudi Arabia under any circumstances.
Zaidi explained that the relationship between the two countries has always been based on mutual support. He said there is no doubt that Pakistan would assist Saudi Arabia whenever required.
According to him, both nations have historically worked together and remained committed to helping each other in difficult situations.
He also highlighted that Saudi Arabia has been supporting Pakistan during the current regional tensions by ensuring the supply of oil and diesel. This assistance is seen as important for Pakistan’s energy needs during a time of global uncertainty.
The comments come at a time when security concerns in the Middle East have increased. Saudi authorities recently reported that their air defense systems intercepted 33 drones that were targeting different locations in the country. Officials said there were no reports of casualties or serious damage from these attacks.
One of the drones was reportedly aimed at the diplomatic area in Riyadh, while another targeted the Shaybah Oil Field in the southeast of the country.
Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar also held discussions with Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to review the situation. Both leaders emphasized the need for diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and maintain peace and stability in the region.
