Pakistan Gold Rates Climb Rs 1,000 Following International Market Gains

Gold prices in Pakistan went up again today, following gains in the global market. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 24-karat gold per tola now costs Rs 523,762, which is Rs 1,000 more than yesterday. For 10 grams of 24-karat gold, the price stands at Rs 449,041, up by Rs 857.

On the international front, gold is trading at around $5,010 per ounce in US dollars, with a small rise of $10 and a $20 premium in some trades. This follows a drop the previous day when local prices fell by Rs 1,800 per tola to Rs 522,762. Silver also moved higher, climbing Rs 128 to Rs 8,569 per tola.

The increase comes as investors watch a weaker US dollar and ongoing worries from global events like tensions in the Middle East. Many people in Pakistan buy gold for weddings, Eid, or as a safe way to save money, so these changes affect buyers a lot.

Local jewelers say demand stays steady despite ups and downs, but sharp jumps can make small purchases tougher. Traders expect prices to stay volatile in the coming days based on what happens overseas and the rupee’s value.
