The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) had a fantastic year in fiscal 2025-26. It closed with the highest-ever trading volume and a strong 44% growth in the benchmark KSE-100 Index. This performance shows growing confidence in Pakistan’s economy.
The KSE-100 Index finished the year at 180,302 points. It started from 125,627 points at the end of FY25. This means a gain of 44% in rupee terms and about 46% in US dollar terms, according to Arif Habib Limited. Improved liquidity, more investors, and good performance in key sectors helped the rally, even with some ups and downs due to global events.
Key Highlights of FY26:
- Average daily traded volume reached a record 913 million shares.
- Average daily traded value rose to $152 million, the highest since FY08.
Higher trading activity means more people are buying and selling shares. This brings better liquidity and opportunities for investors.
The strong results came after several years of steady growth in market participation. Experts believe better economic policies, new listings, and foreign interest played a big role.
