Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has shared good news from its Bobi Oil Field in Sindh. The company’s new development well, called Bobi-11, is expected to produce about 1,000 barrels of oil every day along with one million standard cubic feet of natural gas daily.
The Bobi Oil Field belongs entirely to OGDCL, meaning the company holds full ownership and operates it on its own. This latest success builds directly on earlier work in the same area. Information gathered from the Bobi Deep-1 discovery helped the team plan, drill and test Bobi-11 more effectively.
OGDCL said the positive results from Bobi-11 strengthen confidence that the field holds larger oil and gas resources. The company is using modern technology and the skills of its own experts to get extra production from existing assets. This approach supports the wider goal of raising Pakistan’s local oil and gas supplies and reducing the need for expensive imports.
