Sazgar Announces Rs. 22 Billion Expansion to Boost SUV Production in Pakistan

Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has approved a major investment plan worth Rs. 22 billion to expand its SUV production capacity.

The move is part of the company’s long-term growth strategy to strengthen its position in Pakistan’s automotive market.

Under this plan, Sazgar aims to increase its annual SUV production capacity to 54,000 units. This significant expansion shows the company’s confidence in the rising demand for vehicles, especially in the SUV and hybrid segments.

A key part of the project is the development of a fully automated paint shop. This facility will improve the quality and efficiency of the manufacturing process. In addition, supporting infrastructure will also be built to enhance overall production capabilities and ensure smoother operations.

Sazgar is placing strong focus on the fast-growing hybrid and four-wheeler market. With more consumers shifting towards fuel-efficient and modern vehicles, the company aims to capture a larger share of this segment. This strategy is expected to help Sazgar stay competitive and meet changing customer preferences.

The company’s growth is being driven under the leadership of Saira Asad Hameed and Mian Asad Hameed. Their vision is focused on innovation, expansion, and long-term sustainability.

Industry experts believe that this investment will not only boost Sazgar’s production but also contribute to the development of Pakistan’s automotive sector. It may create new job opportunities and support local manufacturing.
