Pakistan witnessed a major boost in business activity during April as the country recorded its highest-ever monthly company registrations.
According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, a total of 4,082 new companies were incorporated during the month, setting a new national record.
The latest registrations increased the total number of registered companies in Pakistan to 294,101.
Officials also confirmed that another milestone was achieved on April 30, when 340 companies were registered in a single day, the highest daily figure recorded so far.
The data reflects growing confidence in Pakistan’s formal business sector and increasing interest from both local and foreign investors.
Investors from 22 different countries took part in new business registrations, with notable participation from China.
Among the provinces, Punjab recorded the highest number of new companies, followed by Islamabad, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Experts say the trend shows expanding entrepreneurial activity across multiple regions of the country.
The information technology and e-commerce sectors remained the strongest contributors to growth.
Analysts believe the rise in digital businesses reflects changing market trends, increasing online activity, and greater adoption of technology-driven services.
Officials said the record growth also highlights ongoing efforts to improve ease of doing business and encourage economic documentation in Pakistan.
Simplified registration procedures and digital services have helped more entrepreneurs formally register their businesses.
Economic experts view the development as a positive sign for the country’s business environment and future investment potential.
They say continued support for startups, technology firms, and small businesses could further strengthen Pakistan’s economy and create new employment opportunities in the coming years.
