Fuel Prices Rise Across Pakistan as Aviation, Kerosene and Diesel Rates Are Revised

Pakistan has increased the prices of key petroleum products, including aviation fuel, kerosene oil and light diesel oil, following a new notification issued by authorities.

The revised rates take effect immediately across the country, reflecting ongoing pressure from international oil markets.

Aviation fuel recorded the highest rise in the latest revision. Its price went up by Rs. 2.10 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs. 332.32 per litre compared to the previous Rs. 330.22. Officials say this adjustment is part of regular reviews linked to global energy trends.

Kerosene oil prices were also revised upward by Rs. 1.71 per litre. The new rate has been set at Rs. 313.44 per litre, up from Rs. 311.73. This fuel is widely used in remote areas and households, making its price change significant for consumers.

Light diesel oil also became more expensive after an increase of Rs. 1.62 per litre. The updated price now stands at Rs. 275.54 per litre, compared with Rs. 273.92 earlier. The product is commonly used in transport and agriculture sectors across the country.

Officials confirmed that the revised prices have been implemented nationwide without delay. They added that changes in global crude oil rates continue to influence domestic pricing decisions, leading to periodic adjustments in local fuel costs.

Market analysts note that fuel price fluctuations are likely to continue in the coming weeks as international supply and demand remain uncertain.

Consumers are expected to feel a gradual impact on transport fares and daily goods prices if trends persist, particularly in energy dependent sectors across urban and rural areas countrywide economic activity remain under pressure overall outlook.
