Pakistan’s services exports have shown strong growth thanks to its booming IT sector. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), services exports rose 17.38% to $9.09 billion in the first 11 months (July-May) of FY2025-26, up from $7.75 billion in the same period last year.
This growth is mainly driven by information technology and computer services. The government expects full-year IT exports to reach $4.5-4.6 billion. In May alone, services exports increased 15.99% to $838 million.

The IT sector now plays a big role in earning foreign money for Pakistan. Better internet connections, from 1.9 million in 2024 to 5.1 million in 2026, are helping more people and companies join the global digital economy.
In the previous fiscal year (FY25), service exports grew 9.23% to $8.39 billion. Experts say continued focus on digital skills, better infrastructure, and government support can help Pakistan reach even higher targets in coming years. This success brings hope for more jobs and stronger foreign exchange reserves.
