The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a big step to improve player training. It has installed a state-of-the-art Trueman 3 bowling machine at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. This AI-powered machine is the first of its kind used by any cricket board in the world.
The Trueman 3 features a high-contrast LED screen that shows synchronized bowler animations based on real bowling actions. This helps batters see the bowler’s run-up and release point clearly, just like in a real match. Coaches can easily adjust speed, swing, line, length, bounce, and even save custom bowling sequences for repeated practice.
Director of High Performance Aqib Javed said Pakistan is leading the way with this latest technology. He explained that traditional bowling machines make it hard for players to judge timing and trigger movements. The new machine solves this problem by creating realistic practice conditions.
All-rounder Salman Ali Agha, who tried the machine, praised it highly. He said it helps batters prepare better for modern cricket by simulating actual match situations. Players can now practice against different bowling styles in a safe and controlled environment.
This advanced machine is part of PCB’s efforts to provide world-class facilities to national and junior players. It is expected to improve batting skills, decision-making, and overall performance.
