The Pakistani government is taking strong steps to help its young citizens find better job opportunities abroad. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed all Pakistani embassies and missions worldwide to actively search for job vacancies for skilled Pakistani youngsters.
During a high-level meeting in Islamabad on July 6, 2026, the Prime Minister instructed embassies to track job openings in real time. They must share details about required skills, qualifications, and certifications so Pakistani youth can prepare and compete globally. The focus is on sectors like healthcare, IT, construction, and biotechnology.
To make the process easier, the government will fully digitize the Protectorate of Emigration system. This will remove unnecessary paperwork and help job seekers quickly. Over 800,000 young people have already registered on the Digital Youth Hub portal, which will now act as a central place for overseas job information. Embassies will directly upload vacancy details to this platform.
The Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, NAVTTC, and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme to provide special training. This includes technical skills, foreign language courses, and internationally recognized certificates. The goal is to make Pakistan’s talented youth more employable in the global market.
This initiative aims to reduce unemployment among youth and boost the economy through remittances. PM Shehbaz Sharif called it a top priority for human resource development and sustainable growth. Many young Pakistanis see this as a positive move toward better career opportunities outside the country.
