Sindh province is planning big projects to grow its economy and attract foreign investment. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah invited Indonesian companies to invest in infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy, information technology, manufacturing, and agriculture. He spoke after attending the Indonesian-Pakistan Investment and Business Forum.
One major plan is to build a new deep-sea port at Keti Bandar. This port can open new doors for trade, shipping, and maritime business. It will help Sindh become a stronger logistics hub in the region. The government is also establishing a Sindh International Facilitation Centre in Karachi to make it easier for local and foreign investors to conduct business.
Another important step is the development of AI-enabled data centers. These centers will use affordable, sustainable energy sources, such as solar and wind power. The chief minister called digital transformation a key part of Sindh’s future economic strategy. AI data centers can support technology companies, create jobs, and help Pakistan move forward in the digital world.
Sindh is already Pakistan’s economic center because of Karachi’s ports, industries, banks, and trade networks. The province offers good opportunities in solar and wind energy, farming, food processing, medicines, and manufacturing. The government is working on better governance, infrastructure, digital services, and investor support to create a friendly business environment.
Murad Ali Shah stressed the strong friendship between Pakistan and Indonesia. He mentioned ongoing talks for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement that could increase trade and remove business barriers. He encouraged companies from both countries to work together through joint ventures.
These plans show Sindh’s focus on modern infrastructure and technology. A new port will improve trade links, while AI data centers will bring digital growth. If successful, these projects can create thousands of jobs, boost exports, and strengthen the provincial economy.
