Pakistan and China have joined hands to set up a modern technology display park focused on agriculture. The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and China’s well-known FAMSUN Group signed a Letter of Intent for this project.
The park will be built at PARC. It will show the latest agricultural machines and technologies. The aim is to help researchers, farmers, students, entrepreneurs and investors learn about advanced farming solutions. It will also support research, training and technology transfer between the two countries.
Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain said the agreement is an important step to modernise Pakistan’s agriculture. He noted that the country has strong farming potential but needs better tools to raise productivity, cut post-harvest losses and add more value to crops. Working with a leading Chinese company will bring proven global technologies and open doors for investment.
PARC Chairman Dr. Syed Murtaza Hassan Andrabi called the project a historic achievement. He said it will be the first platform of its kind at PARC to display advanced agricultural engineering from a world-class company. Researchers and farmers will gain direct access to modern equipment and knowledge.
FAMSUN Group CEO Jack Chen expressed confidence in Pakistan’s farming future and promised long-term cooperation through innovation and knowledge sharing.
This partnership is expected to strengthen food security, improve farming methods and create new opportunities for the agricultural sector in Pakistan.
