Pak ID App Now Allows Vehicle Transfer in Balochistan from Home

NADRA has released version 5.6.8 of the Pak ID mobile app. The update brings new digital services for vehicles registered in Balochistan. It was developed with the Government of Balochistan.

Owners can now get a digital vehicle card through the app. This shows vehicle details on their phone instead of only using the physical registration book.

The biggest change is for buying or selling a vehicle. Previously, both the buyer and seller had to visit a government office or centre for biometric verification. Now they can complete this step from home using their smartphones. The process confirms the identity of both parties and helps stop fake or unauthorised transfers.

To use the new options, citizens must update the Pak ID app to version 5.6.8. The service currently works only for vehicles registered in Balochistan.

After completing biometric verification online, the buyer still needs to submit the receipt and other documents to the Excise, Taxation and Anti-Narcotics Department to finish the ownership transfer.

These changes aim to cut paperwork, reduce office visits, and make vehicle deals faster and safer. For help, people can call the NADRA helpline at 1777. NADRA has also shared a step-by-step video guide on its official channels.

This is another step in expanding digital public services across Pakistan. Residents of Balochistan can now handle key vehicle tasks more easily from their phones.
