Pakistan’s Forward Sports and China’s Zhongzi Huaxin Group have signed a technical and investment cooperation agreement to jointly produce high-quality sports footwear in Pakistan.
The deal was signed on 6 August 2026 at the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in Islamabad. The ceremony was attended by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, the Director General of SIFC, the Chairman of the Pakistan Regional Economic Forum, and the CEOs of both companies.
Forward Sports is Pakistan’s leading sports goods maker. It is well-known for producing official footballs for the FIFA World Cup. The company also makes sports bags, apparel, and lifestyle footwear. Zhongzi Huaxin Group is a Chinese investment and asset management firm with experience in industrial development, footwear parks, and apparel manufacturing.
Officials said the agreement will bring technology transfer, create new jobs, support industrial growth, and help Pakistan increase its exports. By combining Pakistan’s strong manufacturing skills with Chinese investment and expertise, the partnership aims to produce world-class sports shoes and expand Pakistan’s share in the global footwear market.
