Pakistan’s automobile sector showed strong recovery in April 2026 as vehicle sales recorded a major increase compared to last year, reflecting growing consumer demand and improving market activity.
According to data released by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association, total car sales reached 22,015 units during April. This marked a sharp increase of more than 100% compared to the same month last year and also showed strong growth from March 2026.
Industry experts say the rise in sales indicates improving consumer confidence and better economic activity in the country. Several leading automobile companies recorded significant growth in sales during the month.
Toyota remained the market leader, while brands such as Honda, Suzuki, Hyundai, and Sazgar Engineering Works also reported strong performance.
The small car segment continued to perform well, with the Suzuki Alto remaining one of the most popular choices among buyers due to its affordability and fuel efficiency.
Demand for SUVs and crossover vehicles also increased as more consumers showed interest in larger and feature-rich vehicles.
Analysts believe changing customer preferences and improved financing options are contributing to the growing popularity of these vehicle categories.
In addition to passenger cars, tractor and commercial vehicle sales also recorded growth during the period. Experts say this reflects increasing business activity and improved conditions in the agriculture sector.
