Pakistan-based company Loads Limited is exploring a new business opportunity in the copper sector through a potential partnership with Chinese company Anhui New Material Technology Co. (Xinhuida).
According to information shared with the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore cooperation in several areas related to copper and advanced materials. The proposed collaboration could include copper trading, processing, manufacturing, exports, and even possible acquisitions in the future.
Officials said the partnership aims to strengthen copper supply chains while supporting industrial growth through technology transfer and export-focused development. The initiative could also help introduce modern manufacturing techniques and specialized industrial products to Pakistan.
Xinhuida brings experience in areas such as recycled copper production, cable manufacturing, electric vehicle wiring systems, and energy infrastructure components. Its expertise is expected to support future business opportunities if the project moves forward.
For now, both companies plan to focus on trading activities and supply chain development while assessing the feasibility of larger manufacturing investments in Pakistan. Detailed studies and evaluations are expected before any major commitments are made.
Industry observers believe the move reflects growing interest in Pakistan’s industrial and manufacturing sectors, particularly in areas linked to energy, infrastructure, and electric vehicles. Copper is considered a key material for modern industries due to its extensive use in power systems, electronics, and transportation technologies.
However, company representatives emphasized that discussions remain at an early stage. No final or legally binding agreement has been signed, and future projects will depend on further negotiations and business assessments.
The proposed partnership highlights increasing economic cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese companies as both sides explore new industrial opportunities and export-oriented growth.
