Google has increased the prices of its Google One subscription plans in Pakistan, making cloud storage and AI services more expensive for users. The price hike affects both basic storage plans and advanced AI-powered packages.
The 100GB Basic plan has almost doubled in price, rising from Rs. 219 to Rs. 419 per month. The annual cost has also increased to around Rs. 4,199. This change may impact regular users who rely on cloud storage for photos, documents, and backups.
At the same time, higher-end plans that include AI features have become much more expensive. The Google AI Pro plan, which offers 2TB of storage, now costs around Rs. 5,600 per month.
The premium AI Ultra plan, with 30TB of storage, is priced at about Rs. 70,000 per month. These plans are mainly designed for professionals, content creators, and businesses that need large storage and advanced tools.
These subscriptions also include AI-powered features like Gemini AI, which helps users with writing, automation, and productivity tasks. By combining storage with AI tools, Google is targeting users who want more than just basic cloud services.
Google stated that the price increase is due to rising infrastructure and service costs. The company aims to continue improving its technology and services despite higher expenses.
While casual users may find the new prices expensive, professionals and businesses may still benefit from the advanced features and large storage options offered by these updated plans.
