Pakistan’s US Trade Surplus Hits $2.59 Billion in FY2025-26

Pakistan maintained a healthy trade surplus with the United States in fiscal year 2025-26. According to official figures, the surplus stood at $2.59 billion.

Pakistan exported goods worth $5.91 billion to the US during the year, while imports from America totalled $3.32 billion. This continues a long-running trend in which Pakistan sells more to the United States than it buys from it.

Over the past five years, Pakistan’s cumulative trade surplus with the US has crossed $17 billion. In that period, total exports to the US reached $29.15 billion, while imports from the US amounted to $12.12 billion.

The United States remains one of Pakistan’s most important export markets. Textiles, clothing, and related products form the bulk of what Pakistan ships there. The consistent surplus shows that Pakistani goods continue to find strong demand in the American market.

While the surplus narrowed compared with the previous two years, the overall five-year picture remains positive for Pakistani exporters.
