The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has received a major international honour. The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in the USA selected PSCA for the 2026 IACP Leadership in the Prevention of Vehicle Crimes Award. This award recognises outstanding work in stopping vehicle theft and related crimes.
IACP President David B. Rausch sent a congratulatory letter to PSCA Managing Director Ahsan Younus. He praised PSCA as a “true example of leadership in the policing profession.” The award highlights the Punjab government’s efforts to use modern technology for better public safety.
PSCA uses smart cameras, data systems, and quick response methods to fight crime, especially vehicle-related offences. These technology-driven steps have improved security across Punjab cities like Lahore. The award will be presented at the IACP Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, on October 27, 2026.
The IACP is one of the world’s largest police organisations. Winning this award puts PSCA among top global law enforcement bodies for excellence in crime prevention. This achievement brings pride to Pakistan and shows how Punjab is modernising its policing system.
