Pakistan’s two-wheeler & three-wheeler industry had its best year ever in fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26). People bought a record 1.97 million motorcycles and three-wheelers. This is a big jump from previous years and shows that the economy is getting better.
According to data from Arif Habib Limited, motorcycle sales alone reached 1.932 million units. This beat the old record of 1.853 million set in FY21. When three-wheelers are added, the total comes to 1.974 million units, the highest ever in the country’s history. Sales grew by about 30% compared to the year before.
Experts say the strong sales came because inflation is easing, people have more money to spend, and economic conditions are improving. After a slow period in FY23 and FY24, buyers returned to the market with more confidence.
Atlas Honda remained the clear leader. The company sold a record 1.69 million motorcycles, holding nearly 88% of the total market. United Auto came in second with around 190,800 units. In the three-wheeler segment, Sazgar Engineering stayed on top with 28,600 units sold.
This boom in two-wheeler sales is good news for Pakistan’s manufacturing sector. Motorcycles are an important and affordable means of transport for millions of families, delivery riders, and small businesses. Higher sales also mean more jobs in factories, showrooms, and related industries.
The record performance points to rising consumer confidence and better household spending. It also supports the government’s focus on growing local industries. With new models and possible price reductions under the new auto policy, the industry may continue to grow in the coming years.
